European Union law plays an important role in protecting the principle of equal treatment and the prohibition of discrimination, including on grounds of sexual orientation and gender identity. An important issue that affects the protection of the rights of LGBTI people is also the way in which representatives of this community are treated during court proceedings and attention is paid to the special needs that may arise during litigation activities. These issues are discussed in several short lectures.
